A year ago and again at CES, Intel has impressed the audience by presenting Edison, a computer in size SD card, which as shown was not small enough for the largest semiconductor manufacturer in the world
During today’s presentation, o CEO of Intel, Brian Krzanich, presented an even smaller computer called Curie which has the shape of a button.
The Intel wants to push Curie in wearable device manufacturers due to its very small size, the technical characteristics are similar to those of Edison after integrating Quark SoC, 32bit microcontroller with 384kb flash memory and 80kb SRAM, Bluetooth LE support, rechargeable battery and various sensors for measuring activities related to gymnastics.

Without making any reference to the price, Intel expects to be ready to make the Curie the first manufacturers in the first half of the year, with compatible gadgets to make their appearance probably towards the end of 2015.
